New Black Widow
The last time we saw Natasha Romanoff as the Black Widow, Natasha was fighting her long-time friend, she won and died. But after the events in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War instead of in the set of the film Black Widow, where morning is on and she is alive having to choose between her closest friends, Steve Rogers and Tony Stark.
In the new Marvel movie, we see that Scarlett Johannson returns as Natasha Romanoff, where she investigates her own past, like how she was trained to become a Black Widow assassin through a Soviet training program known as the Red Room. In early trailers of the movie, we will see that Romanoff reuniting with some type of family unit she’s had in the past, including Pugh’s Yelena, the trailers of the movie also show that Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff and Stranger Things’ David Harbour, where he plays the Soviet Union’s answer to Captain America, the Red Guardian.
Taskmaster, the Villain?
In the new Black Widow movie, Taskmaster is positioned as the villain from the comics. Where he’s capable of mimicking the fighting styles of anyone he observes in a fight, hence he uses claws similar to the Black Panther, a shield like Captain America, and a bow and arrow like Hawkeye in the trailers, and the character is masked so we know next to nothing about his motivations. Taskmaster is just the muscle for another bad guy with a larger plan.
What Happened in Budapest?
Fans would love to know what actually happened in Budapest that was comparable to an alien army invading New York, in the first Avengers film from 2012, a throwaway scene happens where Hawkeye and Black Widow compare Loki’s invasion of New York to another experience they had while fighting in Budapest, where Marvel’s new film is set after that moment would’ve happened, Perhaps we will learn in Black Widow.
The Return of Tony Stark
Robert Downey Jr will make an appearance as Iron Man in the new film according to the rumors. It makes sense that he could have a part in the movie, Black Widow is set before the events of Endgame, and Tony Stark is therefore still alive. Let see what happens, don’t get your hopes up for anything more than a cameo, though.
