Godzilla vs. Kong Story
The story featured a group of Monarch researchers heading to the titular island and discovering the giant ape known as Kong. The kong was still left on his island, having defeated the Skullcrawler monsters who also remained there.
In 1973, Skull Island is set while the first two Godzilla films take place at a time when Monarch is struggling to learn about the giant monsters “Titans” of which Godzilla is one. In the process, they release the alien Titan called King Ghidorah, the massive flying creature Rodan and the giant guardian moth called Mothra. In the climax of King of the Monsters, Godzilla eventually wins the fight. and Kong will enter in the frame once again. At the end of King of the Monster, we get to know that some of the Titans have begun moving to Skull Island and also that ancient drawings reveal that Kong and Godzilla have faced off before.
The Story to Arise
The King of Monsters: Godzilla established that the only way that remains forward for humanity to be some kind of co-existence with the Titans. This strange relationship between a group of giant monsters and humanity will be gone further even as two of the greatest among them start to do battle. The franchise kicked off with Gareth Edwards on Godzilla, resumed with Jordan Vogt-Roberts on Kong: Skull Island, and most recently featured the talents of director Michael Dougherty for Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
Godzilla and Kong History
Whenever we talk about giant monsters Godzilla and King Kong are often viewed as the most worldwide because they are featured in most of the movies. In 1962’s King Kong vs. Godzilla, Japanese studio Toho made their own variation on Kong, with the added ability to absorb and then divide up the electricity. While the new film isn’t when the first time they’ve clashed, though, we should also not expect a remake of the original.
Who will be the Winner
It seems like Godzilla really has Kong on the ropes, even he is trying to burn his body at one point. Kong’s ability is to absorb electricity comes in handy when a bolt of lightning hits and revives him, and the fight again picks up intensity, coming to a climax, both monsters falling into the ocean. In the end, only Kong emerges from the water, but no one ever says that Godzilla actually died, and of course the legendary kaiju popped up again just two years later in Mothra vs. Godzilla.
